TRA collected over 10 trillions TZS in nine months
Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has succeeded to collect Tanzania shillings 10.87 Trillion for a period of nine months from June 2016 to March 2017, where by the collections is equal to 9.99 percent, compare to the last collections of 2015 to 2016 where the collections was 9.88 trillion.
Speaking to reporters in Dar es Salaam the Director of Taxpayers’ Education, Mr Richard Kayombo has said in March 2017 TRA has collected total 1.34 trillion compare to 1.31 of March 2016 equal to the growth of 2.23 percent.
Kayombo added by thanking every tax payer for helping the government in paying tax, and insisted others to do so and he might reveal the ones who are not paying so that the government to take steps about them.
He also added that the Government is still collecting property taxes and provide specific amount for buildings, he also said that those building owners who their buildings are not valued by the TRA should follow steps needed.
